I don't know how strange this is, but when planning my trip to Nebraska Runza was the thing I was most excited for. Love trying regional fast foods and the name is just so fun to say. So I kept saying it. When I finally got to visit my excitement was plain on my face. The young man at the counter was just so sweet in dealing with me and all of my questions, really great service. Food came out fast and hot.
No they do not make chicken or veggie runza's, so I was out. But that's ok because their chicken strips are seriously top notch - really great quality meat and a clean tasting fry. The frings were so yummy, the onion rings especially tasted different and less greasy than the norm. I picked the lemon poppy sauce for dipping, but our cashier even came over a minute late to see how we liked the food and offer me an extra sauce that they make in house, he said that people think their ranch is unique and that I'd like to try it. HOW SWEET!
My husband LOVED his runza, said the bread was great, and that he'd be craving it all the time if we lived in the area.
Wonderful staff and experience. LIVED UP TO MY DREAMS!
Just wish I could try an actual RUNZA with chicken or veggie...but that's just not how they roll. Maybe one day! -

I noticed the Pretzel bun had mold on after taking a bite. Manager was rude with no apology.

New experience and excited to share this unique stop.
The visit in town was for work and my tour guide wad happy to brag that she had worked at this chain for about 14 years when she was younger.
She boasted about how whoever she was showing around she always brought to this joint.
I really enjoyed the location. When we walked in everything was really clean and the waitress behind the counter asked if I had ever been there before.
When they found out it was my first time they gave me reading material about the chain and what options they have in their signature sandwich.
I got the original in a meal with the mix of onion rings and crinkle fries!
They offer dipping sauces. In house ranch and French onion sauce. It was all very good and very fresh.
My companion let me know that they make the runza fresh every morning. You can even buy then frozen to cook at home if you want.
Wish we had this in Des Moines. -

I love Runza, but am not a huge fan of Runzas so I typically opt for the deluxe chicken sandwich or a salad with chicken. What have you done to your chicken sandwiches? They used to be the best, tinder, moist, now they are dry and unappetizing I couldn't even finish it, I threw it away which I rarely ever do. At first I thought it was just the one Runza, so I went to a different location this time, but same awful result. I don't know what you are doing differently but it has ruined your chicken sandwich. I'm guessing you use the same chicken on the salads so I'll pass on those too. You used to be my go to place for chicken sandwiches, not anymore and my other favorite was the salad but I'm afraid that's not an option either.

It seems eveyone comes to a Runza for that disturbing sandwich, but for me I come for a really solid burger...This particular location was nice...the people working here were very friendly...I ordered the double cheeseburger meal...Was really good, came out exactly like I ordered...The dining area was also cleaner than one would expect given that most fast food joints don't seem to believe in a clean dining room...I'd come back here...
